US Model 1860 Cavalry Sabre. Dated 1864, made by Emerson & Silver Co of Trenton NJ. Blade is unsharpened (as is correct) and the polish is very good. No rust, stains, or pits are present. Scabbard has 70% original blue with no kinks or dents except for a couple of very small dimples that don’t qualify as dents. Hilt leather is excellent and the wire wrap is original and intact. This sabre is way above the vast majority you see at shows or on the web. Very fine 1860 cavalry sabre!
