US Model 1840 Light Artillery Saber. Blade is marked U.S. / J.H. / 1862 on one side and has the Ames mark on the other side. Brass hilt with wire wrapped leather grip. Blade is 32” and overall length is 38”. Blade is very good and scabbard has a gray patina. Very good condition overall.
