US Model 1840 Cavalry Saber. Mexican war vintage. Blade is marked “N P Ames / Cabotville / 1848” on one side and “US / WD” on the other. Blade is 36” long and overall length is 41½”. Scabbard has gray brown patina. Good – very good condition overall.
