U.S. model 1860 cavalry saber by Ames Mfg, Sword and scabbard have been cleaned. Ricasso is marked Made by Ames Mfg Co. Chicopee Mass. opposite side is marked US L.H.K. 1864. Scabbard is a dark patina and dent free. Blade has scattered areas of oxidation, leather and wire wrap are intact. Overall a fair condition civil war sword.
