SN: 57577. Made in 1946, .279 Win with a 24" barrel. Scarce special order standard grade model 70 pre-war style rifle assembled after the war. The rifle was ordered with a rubber recoil pad and a pistol grip cap, and has a Lyman receiver sight. The metal is excellent with 95% original blue with just some wear on the floor plate. The stock is very good with some marks and wear. This rifle was from the person collection of Winchester 70 collector Michael Kokin, and is accompanied by a letter from Mr. Kokin confirming the details. A fine, very desirable Winchester rifle.
