NSN, made in 1840, .54 caliber, 36” round rifled barrel. Barrel has 95% original “Tobacco” brown finish with light surface marks visible, barrel is proofed marked on the left side. Bore is very good with strong rifling visible. Lock plate is marked “N. STARR & SON” with Starr sunburst trademark/U.S. Rear of hammer is stamped “MIDDTn/CONN/1840”, Stock is fine with light surface nicks, and pressure dings noted. Action holds at half and full cock. One of the best examples with have seen in a long time.
