BOSS & CO 12 GAUGE BEST SHOTGUN (L2025-12515)

SN: 4944, beautiful London best gun built in 1907, one out of a set of at least 3. 12 gauge side by side with 30” Nitro Proof barrels with 2 5/8” chambers and fixed chokes measuring .002/.029. Side lock with double triggers, ejectors, cocking indicators and an automatic safety. Nicely figured Turkish walnut furniture with a 14 ¾” LOP to the checkered horn butt plate with a drop of 1 ½” to 2 ¼” featuring a gold oval with engraved crest. Barrels have been re-blacked as traditionally seen on British doubles but the bores are excellent.  Action is covered in gorgeous traditional fine British rose and scroll hand engraving. Overall a fine early example from the worlds best gunmaker.
