NSN, circa 1777-1782, .79 caliber, 42' round smoothbore proofed barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a dark grey patina with smooth surface oxidation present. Lock plate is marked "CROWN/GR" forward of the hammer and "TOWER" rear of the hammer. Inside the lock plate is stamped with "Crown/7" Inspector marks "HL" is also visible. Barrel tang bears markings that are unable to read. Ram-rod channel has inspector mark and "XXXIII" stamped inside. Action holds at half and full cock. A great example of a Revolutionary War Musket!
