Revolutionary War American restock flintlock musket .75 caliber (AL7862)

Gorgeous American restock of a British Long Land 1756 Pattern Musket circa 1775-1783. These muskets were used early on during the Revolution and if captured from battlefield or muskets deemed unworthy were restocked with a maple stock. Barrel is 45.25" in length, metal surfaces are a dark brown patina with scattered pitting and oxidation visbile. Lock is marked CROWN/GR with TOWER behind the hammer. Wood is in overall good condition with period repairs visible. A period correct bayonet comes with beautiful Revolutionary War Musket. It is noted that this particular musket is photographed in American Rifleman article "American Muskets in the Revolutionary War" by George C.
