The overall length of this unusual European (Dutch?) bayonet training rifle is approx. 70.5" with the "bayonet" rod extended and approx. 54.5 from the butt to the "muzzle". The "bayonet" rod has a rounded blunt tip. The barrel length is approx. 37.25". It is marked on the top in the "chamber" area with IL over AIB over a crown over * over I with NH (intersecting) 113 on the lower left and 952 just above. The "lock" is approx. 7.25" long and is unmarked. It does not have provision for a hammer, etc. The stock is very good with a repair on the lower left above the trigger guard and a missing chip on the right at the top of the lock. The right lower butt is stamped N.E.S. over No I in .5" letters. The buttplate has large protruding screw heads that are found on some Dutch firearms. The front "band" is a priec of iron wrapped around and attached to the stock and barrel. The spring loaded "bayonet" rod functions properly. This unusual bayonet training rifle is ready for your European military rifle or training rifle collection.
