AN 9 French Gendarme Flintlock Pistol (AH6399)

This is a very nice French Gendarme Model an 9 flintlock pistol that is dated 1811. The overall length is approx. 10".  The 5" round 60 caliber barrel has a fine smooth bore. All the metal parts are bright with very light spotting and discoloration. The barrel has an S near the pan and a small D over 1811 on the left flat. The barrel tang is marked M, an, 9 (Model Year 9). The lock is marked Maubeuge Manuf. Imperl. There are various inspection and mating marks on other parts. The stock is fine with sharp edges, no chips or cracks, light wear and sharp cartouches on the left flat. The action functions correctly and the original ramrod is present. Don't miss this beauty!
