Winchester 1873 .44-40 caliber rifle. 1st Model rifle with 24” round barrel. The metal has been refinished with a high polish blue. The barrel markings are gone, and the tang markings are faint. Wood is fair with no varnish and a small crack at the top of the butt by the butt plate. Bore is dark with good rifling.
