The Eclipse deringer was manufactured by Iver Johnson, Worcester, MA, and its predecessor Iver Bye & Co., Worcester, from circa 1870s to 1887. The 2.5" round 22 Short rimfire caliber barrel has a fair smooth bore with erosion. The gun retains approx. 95% of its original nickel finish with scattered areas of pinprick loss. It is totally unmarked. The grips are good with some original finish and a small missing chip at the lower right. The action functions correctly. This Eclipse would be perfect for an American deringer collection.
