New York Engraved Colt 1877 "Thunderer" Sheriff's Model .41 caliber revolver. Made in 1879. Has a 3.5” barrel in .41 Colt caliber. This beautiful gun has been New York engraved. Many New York retailers would have Colts engraved by independent engravers instead of paying the premium for an ordered factory engraved gun. This gun has almost full coverage engraving. The quality of the engraving is way above average for the normal New York engraved gun. Gun is in excellent condition with 90% of the bright nickel finish with traces of blue on small parts. Grips are checkered deluxe wood. Gun is also a Sheriff's model without an ejector housing. Comes with a factory letter and shipped to Hodgkins and Haigh in New York city in a shipment of two.
