Colt 1878 Double Action Frontier .45 Long Colt Revolver. Manufactured in 1891. Barrel length 5 ½”. Bore has good rifling and light to medium wear in the grooves. Action works perfectly but does not lock up tightly. So, in battery position there is a little “play” in the cylinder lockup. Grips are interesting in that they are proper Colt hard rubber grips worn smooth from handling wear! This has to have been used by someone who carried the revolver every day for a long time such as a lawman or ranch hand. These grips give this revolver some real “charm”. Just neat!
