Mauser 1896 .30 Mauser caliber pistol. Pre-war commercial model with unusual and possibly factory experimental mag. Release in trigger area. Filed thumb holds in floorplate for easy removal. We have seen crude gunsmith attempts to make a quick release floorplate but the quality of this job makes us think this is possibly factory work! Works very well!
