Rare Hopkins and Allen XL Police .38 Rimfire Caliber Revolver. This is a Police model but the strap is marked XL Navy. The XL Navy is a much larger and different configuration revolver. Bore is very good. Action works perfectly. Gun has approximately 50% nickel but looks like it has much more. Only a few hundred, Hopkins and Allen XL Navies and Police were made. The XL Navy mark on the gun is factory original. We do not know why it is on the Police model.
