Serial number X59087. Made in 1968 with a 4.6-inch round barrel that has strong visible rifling although there is some frosting noted between the grooves. The M57 is a modified & unlicensed derivative of the Soviet TT-33 Tokarev pistol that has longer grip length & therefore greater magazine capacity. It was the standard service pistol of the Yugoslav People's Army from 1961 until the early 1990s. The top of the slide is marked with the crest of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia & the plastic grips are therefore marked "S.F.R.J." as well. Condition overall is very good with visible scratches on the slide but still there is thinning original factory blued finish across the metallic parts that has oxidized in a few places. Oxidation is also present on the outside of the barrel. Century Arms import mark on the bottom of the trigger guard. Comes with an import compliant safety shoe trigger & an aftermarket 9-round magazine.
