Serial No. 42807, made circa 1930s–1940s, chambered in 8mm, with a 23 ½” round barrel. Metal has turned to an even grey patina with age. The receiver is proudly marked with the Serbian crest. Stock shows expected handling and usage wear consistent with service. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Rifle comes with original sling. This rifle is based on the FN 1924 Mauser pattern and produced by the Kingdom of Yugoslavia at the Kragujevac arsenal. These rifles equipped the Royal Yugoslav Army prior to World War II and many were later captured and reused by Axis and partisan forces alike during the war. A solid example of a hard-used Balkan service rifle with historical significance.
