Serial no. M24004186. Refurbished between 1947 and the early 1950s by the Yugoslav military, chambered in 8mm Mauser,23 ½" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are non-matching. The rifle remains in overall very good condition. The M24/47 program involved the refurbishment and modernization of pre-war Yugoslav Model 1924 Mauser rifles following WWII, providing the Yugoslav armed forces with a reliable service rifle during the early Cold War period. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
