The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The bolt is marked “D28287-1 W.R.A,” and the receiver is stamped “D28291-2.” The operating rod remains uncut and is marked “D35382-W.R.A.” The trigger assembly is correctly Winchester marked. The rifle retains its Type III lock bar rear sight. The stock displays a handsome “W.R.A./G.H.D.” cartouche alongside the ordnance crossed cannons, indicating inspection under Brigadier General Guy H. Drewry.
