Serial no. 4037880. Manufactured in 1944 by Underwood, chambered in .30 Carbine, 18" round barrel marked “UNDERWOOD / 8-43 / FLAMING BOMB.” Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Metal has aged to an even grey patina, and the carbine displays typical post-war alterations and upgrades from its original WWII configuration. A desirable WWII-production Underwood M1 Carbine showing evidence of its continued service and subsequent updating. Comes complete with bayonet and scabbard. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
