WWII Underwood M1 Carbine with Post-War Alterations .30 Carbine (L2026-05830)

Serial no. 2899150. Manufactured in March 1944 by Underwood Elliott Fisher Company, chambered in .30 Carbine,18" round barrel marked “UNDERWOOD/Flaming Bomb.” The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The carbine has been upgraded with typical post-war features including a bayonet lug, flip safety, and adjustable rear sight. The high wood stock shows minimal handling impressions and has been treated with a light coat of linseed oil. Underwood-produced carbines were among the many contractor-made rifles issued during WWII and are well regarded for their quality. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly. The carbine is accompanied by an oiler and sling.
