Serial no. 4766607. Manufactured in 1944 by Smith-Corona, chambered in .30-06 Springfield, 24" round barrel marked “S.C./Flaming Bomb/8-43.” Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted, with light oxidation present in scattered areas. The rifle remains in overall very good condition with only minimal handling and service wear noted. Manufactured during WWII, Smith-Corona 03-A3 rifles are desirable examples of American wartime production from a company better known for its typewriters than military firearms. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
