Serial no. 3306153. Manufactured circa September 1943 by Saginaw Steering Gear Division, chambered in .30 Carbine, 18” round barrel marked “Saginaw S.G. DIV/General Motors.” Bore is good with light frosting noted in the grooves, while rifling remains strong and well defined. The carbine has been upgraded with several post-war features, including a bayonet lug barrel band, rotary safety, and a Type II milled adjustable rear sight marked “HI.” The high wood stock shows light handling impressions and retains a handsome “SG” with crossed cannons cartouche. The sling well is correctly marked “RSG.” This carbine presents as a solid mix of original WWII production and post-war arsenal updates commonly encountered on U.S. service carbines. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
