WWII Russian Capture German “ax 40” Code K98k Bolt Action Rifle 8mm Mauser (L2026-11073)

Serial no. 7953F. Manufactured in 1940 by Erma Werke, chambered in 8mm Mauser, 24" round import-marked barrel. Bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers were force matched with electric pencil during Soviet arsenal refurbishment, and the receiver bears the characteristic “X” Russian capture marking. The rifle was refinished following capture and remains in overall very good condition with only light storage wear noted. A nice example of an early-war German K98k that later passed through Soviet hands and underwent the typical Russian capture refurbishment process. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
