Serial No. 1659096, made circa mid-1943, .30 Carbine, 18” round barrel marked “Buffalo Arms / 8-43 / Flaming Bomb”, confirming correct WWII production. Manufactured by Quality Hardware, one of the rarer war-time M1 Carbine contractors. This carbine has been arsenal-upgraded postwar, featuring a bayonet lug (unmarked) and a Type III round bolt. Rear sight has been upgraded to a Type III adjustable sight, marked with an “H” inside a shield, consistent with postwar rebuilds. A flip safety has also been added, replacing the original push-button design. The low wood stock is in excellent condition, with only light evidence of use, and the sling well is marked with a flaming bomb cartouche.
