Serial no. 68449. Manufactured in 1942 by Lithgow Small Arms Factory, chambered in .303 British,25" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are non-matching. The finish and stock remain in overall very good condition, showing minimal handling wear. Lithgow-produced SMLE rifles were widely used by Australian and Commonwealth forces during WWII and are known for their durability and quality manufacture. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
