This example exhibits all hallmark features of the late-war “last ditch” pattern: a simplified fixed rear sight, cylindrical bolt handle, short handguard, and crude finish associated with the final desperate stages of Japanese wartime production. The three-piece wood stock is in good condition with minor handling marks; the wooden buttplate has been removed, which was common during this period of resource scarcity.
