WWII Japanese Toyo Kogyo Series 31Type 99 Bolt action rifle 7.7x58 (L2025-11958)

Serial No. 63527, manufactured late 1942 to mid-1943, 7.7x58mm Arisaka, 26” round barrel. Serial numbers on the bolt and dust cover are non-matching. The rifle retains its original mono-pod with a tight fit, and the blued finish rates 90–95% overall. Light grinding marks are noted on the Chrysanthemum (mum), though it remains intact—a practice sometimes performed by Japanese troops in the field rather than post-surrender. The two-piece stock with drain holes is in very good condition, showing light handling wear consistent with service. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A fine example of a mid-war Toyo Kogyo–produced Type 99, showcasing transitional features and strong finish quality.
