Serial no. 7375. Manufactured in December 1943 at Toriimatsu, chambered in 8x22mm,4 ½" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching including the magazine and grips. The metal surfaces have thinned to a grey patina with traces of original blue remaining in protected areas. The serrated wooden grips show light handling marks. The Type 14 pistol was the standard Japanese service sidearm of WWII, with late-war production reflecting simplified finishing and wartime manufacturing conditions. The action is mechanically sound and functions correctly. The pistol is accompanied by an unmarked Jūyon-nen-shiki Kenjū-nō (“Type 14 pistol holster") in good overall condition.
