Serial No. 4262, manufactured circa mid-1943, 7.7x58mm, 26" round barrel. Bore is good, showing light frosting in the grooves with strong rifling remaining. Bolt components are matching to each other but not to the receiver and are numbered 212. Stock is in good condition, with an upper handguard exhibiting a surface crack extending from the middle barrel band approximately halfway forward—consistent with field use rather than post-war damage. Metal finish shows expected mid-war wear, and markings remain clear. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A solid, honest example of a mid-war Nagoya Series 5 Type 99, retaining characteristic features of Imperial Army production during 1943.
