WWII Inland M1 Carbine with Post-War Alterations .30 Carbine (L2026-06700)

Serial no. 288554. Manufactured in 1943 by Inland Division of General Motors, chambered in .30 Carbine,18" round barrel marked “MARLIN.” The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The carbine has been upgraded with a Type III barrel band and Type III stamped adjustable rear sight, while still retaining its original push-button safety. The low wood stock shows light handling impressions consistent with service and storage wear. The rifle comes equipped with a sling and oiler. Marlin Firearms produced approximately 314,000 M1 Carbine barrels between April 1943 and April 1944 as part of wartime subcontract production. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
