Serial No. 3788109, manufactured late 1943, .30 Carbine, 18” round barrel marked “SA 8-52”. Originally produced by International Business Machines Corp. during WWII, this M1 Carbine was later arsenal refurbished and upgraded for post-war service. The Springfield Armory barrel, dated August 1952, is indicative of this transition. Carbine has been fitted with a bayonet lug barrel band marked “o”, a Type III rear sight marked “I.R.C.O.”, and an upgraded flip safety. The low wood stock remains in very good condition with only light handling marks visible. Rifle comes complete with sling and oiler. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
