Serial No. 7196v, manufactured in late 1944 by Spreewerk, 9mm, 5” round barrel. Serial numbers are matching; Eagle/88 Waffenamt inspection marks are visible on both the slide and frame. Original wartime finish shows thinning to a light brown patina in scattered areas, with most finish loss concentrated on the front strap. Serrated Bakelite grips are in very good condition with minimal wear. Action and de-cocker function correctly. Spreewerk P.38s were produced under wartime conditions using forced labor, resulting in rougher machining and finish.
