WWII British SMLE Bolt Action Rifle .303 British (L2026-06988)

Serial no. 58926. Manufactured in 1942,chambered in .303 British,25" round barrel. The bore is good with frosting noted in the grooves, while rifling remains strong and well defined. Serial numbers are matching, though the magazine is unmarked. The rifle’s finish has thinned to a dull grey patina consistent with wartime service and age. The stock has been treated with a coat of linseed oil and remains in overall good condition. The Short Magazine Lee-Enfield served as the primary British and Commonwealth service rifle through both World Wars, valued for its smooth action and rapid rate of fire.
