WWI Webley Mark VI Break-Open Revolver .455 Webley (L2026-04479)

Serial no. 153932. Manufactured in 1916 by Webley & Scott, chambered in .455 Webley, 6" octagonal barrel. The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching, and the revolver remains in its original .455 caliber, an important factor as many were later altered to .45 ACP. Approximately 90% of the original finish remains, giving the revolver a very attractive and well-preserved appearance. The Webley Mark VI was the standard British service revolver during WWI and is one of the most iconic sidearms of the period. The action indexes correctly with a tight lock-up, remaining mechanically sound. Overall, this is an excellent and desirable example of an unaltered WWI Webley revolver.
