Serial No. 2232, manufactured circa 1917, chambered in .30-06, featuring a 24” round barrel marked “E / Flaming Bomb / 8-18.” This rifle was later arsenal refurbished during WWII, with metal components receiving a Parkerized finish as part of the rework. The stock is in good condition, showing light handling impressions, and bears a clear “R.A. / R.I.A. / EK” cartouche, indicating inspection or service at both Remington Arms and Rock Island Arsenal. The action is smooth and functions correctly. A solid example of the Model 1917 rifle, which served as the backbone of U.S. infantry arms in the latter half of WWI and saw renewed service during WWII following re-arsenal programs.
