WWI Lithgow SHT. LE III SMLE Bolt Action Rifle – .303 British (L2025-11956)

Serial No. 93656, manufactured in 1918 at the Lithgow Small Arms Factory, .303 British, 25” round barrel. Bore is good with light frosting in the grooves and strong rifling remaining. Serial numbers are matching, and the magazine is unmarked. Top of the receiver is marked “6.M.D.”, denoting issue to the 6th Military District (Tasmania), while the right side bears an import mark. Stock shows expected handling marks from service use, and the buttstock displays extensive unit markings, adding to its historical character. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A fine and well-marked example of an Australian WWI-issued Lithgow SMLE, complete with identifiable Tasmanian military provenance.
