Serial No. 2573E, manufactured in 1916 by Spandau Arsenal, 8mm Mauser, 29½” round barrel. Serial numbers are matching throughout, except for the magazine floor plate screw. Barrel has aged to a smooth grey patina, while the receiver remains in the white, thinning to a light grey tone with sharp factory markings clearly visible. Stock has been lightly refurbished, showing minimal handling impressions. Action remains strong and functions correctly. A fine example of a WWI Spandau-produced Gewehr 98, illustrating the precision and durability of Imperial German wartime production.
