WWI French Model 1886 Lebel Bolt Action Rifle 8mm Lebel (L2026-10894)

Serial no. BC74152. Manufactured circa 1899–1900 at Châtellerault Arsenal, chambered in 8mm Lebel, 32" round barrel marked “M.A.C. 1900.” Bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are non-matching. The rifle remains in overall very good condition with only minimal handling and service wear noted. The Model 1886 Lebel was the first military rifle adopted for use with smokeless-powder ammunition and remained an important French service arm throughout WWI. A handsome turn-of-the-century example of one of the most historically significant French military rifles. Action is smooth and functions correctly. Rifle comes with bayonet.
