Serial No. L68422, manufactured circa 1916–1918 and later re-barreled in 1937, chambered in 8mm Lebel with an 18" round barrel. The bore is good, showing light frosting with strong rifling remaining. This carbine displays honest service wear to both metal and wood, consistent with extended military use through two periods of service. The stock shows expected handling marks along with cracks noted on the right side, typical of Berthier carbines that saw hard field use. Overall presentation remains sound and representative. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
