Serial No. 50396, manufactured in October of 1917. Chambered in .30-06 with a 26” round barrel marked “E/Flaming Bomb/10-18,”. Bore is bright and shiny with excellent rifling noted, this rifle remains in its original World War I configuration as issued to the American Expeditionary Forces. The receiver is crisply marked “U.S./MODEL OF 1917/EDDYSTONE/50396,” with a flaming bomb inspection mark present on the left side just forward of the bolt release. The bolt is correctly marked with a flaming bomb and “Y,” with an “E” on the rear, and the safety is also marked “E,” reflecting proper Eddystone manufacture. The stock is in overall very good condition and notably retains no post-war cartouches, further supporting its untouched WWI service status. Action is smooth and functions correctly. An excellent, honest example of a World War I–issued Eddystone Model 1917 rifle.
