Serial No. 345868, manufactured circa 1916–1917, chambered in .303 British with a 26” round barrel. This rifle bears British proof marks and the Broad Arrow on the right side of the receiver, indicating official military acceptance. The bolt is matching, and the metal finish has thinned to a smooth grey patina consistent with service use and age. The stock has been lightly refurbished, likely during an interwar arsenal overhaul, and the volley sights have been removed, a common modification as the tactical utility of these sights became obsolete. Mechanically sound, the action is smooth and functions correctly, making this a solid and representative example of the Pattern 1914 rifle, which would later evolve into the U.S. Model 1917 Enfield.
