WWI British No.1 Mk.III Bolt Action Training Rifle .22 Caliber (L2026-10870)

Serial no. AM917. Manufactured in 1916 and subsequently converted to .22 caliber following WWI, 25" round barrel. Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching, while the magazine is unmarked and has been gutted as part of the .22 training configuration. The rifle remains in overall very good condition with its original factory and military markings remaining visible. Stock shows only minimal handling and usage impressions. These .22-caliber conversions allowed the British military to continue utilizing the familiar No.1 Mk.III platform for economical marksmanship training. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
