Serial number 4971335. Made in January 1944 with an 18-inch Inland Division of GM barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. This carbine is in World War II configuration with a Type 1 barrel band, a flat bolt, push button safety & milled adjustable rear sight in addition to an Inland low wood oval cut stock & 2-rivet handguard. Overall condition is excellent with original factory dull gray phosphate on the metallic parts & refinished USGI wood. Comes with a USGI WWII-era 15-round magazine made by Saginaw Steering Gear Division of GM, a 1943-dated USGI 2-cell canvas magazine pouch, a USGI oiler & a USGI webbed sling.
