Winchester 1893 Riot Gun (AW168) 

Serial 4004. Made in 1894. 12 Gauge with a 20” barrel. This is a nice sharp example of a scarce Winchester 1893 riot gun. The barrel has a mostly plumb colored patina throughout. All markings are sharp and clear. The frame has a dark brown patina. The saddle ring has been removed and ground off, but could be restored. The action works perfectly. The bore has some pitting which is typical of shotguns made at this time with corrosive powder. The wood is very good over all. There is about an inch long stable crack on the underside of the forearm. This is a rare gun with only 645 of these made in the entire production.
