Winchester 12 28 gauge shotgun. Rare pre-64 model 12 28 gauge shotgun. Factory vent rib. Frame is marked 28 gauge on back when stock is removed. (Some 28 gauge model 12's are put together on a 20 gauge frame. Not correct. This one is correct.) Barrel is marked "skeet" and is 27" long including the Cutts compensator which may be correct as these could be special ordered. Gun has a jeweled bolt and has 98% oriignal blue. The buttstock is 14" over a 1 3/8" wood extension and a 1" pad. This could be much improved by removing the wood extension and adding 1" black spacer and nice 1" pad. Fine rare 28 gauge model 12. Manufactured approximately 1958. Note: In our opinion this is a replaced buttstock. It is a Winchester stock that has been refinished. $3995.00 Item# W5285
