West Hurley Model 1928 Thompson submachine gun .45 ACP (L2024-07167)

Serial No. 701A, This Thompson's receiver was manufactured in 1975 but every other part on the gun was produced during the Second World War. It is equipped with a 10.5-inch 28-fin barrel chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. Condition overall is excellent with original DuLite finish on the kit's metallic parts. The receiver is also finished with DuLite, but since it is 30 years younger than the rest of the parts on the gun, its color has not yet had time to age to a matching patina. The wood remains in very good condition, showing light handling marks consistent with limited service use. The stock is stamped “PROPERTY OF TVA POLICE 561316” indicating prior law-enforcement service with the Tennessee Valley Authority. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
