Serial No. 31399, manufactured circa 1887–1894, chambered in .455 Webley with a 4” octagonal barrel. The bore is bright, showing light frosting in the grooves with rifling remaining strong. Serial numbers are matching throughout. The revolver retains the majority of its original blue finish, with expected high-edge wear consistent with age and service. A large Broad Arrow acceptance mark is present on the top of the barrel/frame, and the back strap is marked “N/76,” indicating Navy issue. Grips remain in very good overall condition. The action indexes correctly with a tight lockup, making this a fine and honest example of an early British service revolver.
